The nuclear power plants produces the huge amount of the energy which is used around the globe, the nuclear power plants runs on the atomic energy which is the most effective source of the heat. Normally the people thinks that the nuclear energy is used for developing the nuclear weapons, etc. but the nuclear energy is one of the most effective source for the electricity production. The atomic energy is most important for the nuclear power plants, so today we are discussing about the Atomic energy and the working of the Nuclear power plant.

Above equation shows that how much energy can contain by a single atom, according to this theory we can convert the small amount of mass into the large amount of energy. This concept of the nuclear power comes from this idea, these tiny atoms can produce the large amount of energy. To produce the one joule energy we need seven billion hydrogen atoms, the nuclear power plants works on atomic bonding, stable atoms, splitting the atoms from large atoms into small atoms. The whole process is depend on the law of energy conservation.

The separating process of the energy from the particular atom is called as a nuclear reaction, and some of the radioactive particles will split automatically for produce the energy this process is called as chain reaction. In case of Nuclear bomb which is used in war the chain reaction gets out of control, that’s why the Nuclear weapons gets more destructive and terrifying. The nuclear reaction speed is very fast, because of that the entire chain reaction done in a fraction of seconds and release the huge amount of energy before you blink the eye.

The reactions in nuclear power plants should be controlled very carefully, the energy from the atoms released very steadily. The nuclear power plant are most similar with the normal power pants but the difference is that only atomic energy used at the place of burning coal, gas or boiling water for heat generation. By using the atomic heat the electricity were produced in the power plants, the large turbines gets rotated by the steam which is generated by boiling water.

Uranium is a fuel used in the nuclear reactor, the control rods are responsible to control the nuclear reaction in the system reactor. The steam generator is present in the system reactor, and all this setup fitted in the containment building. The control-rods are made up of Cadmium or Boron, this metals capable to soak the neutrons present in the chain reaction to control it and also this rods are responsible for speed up the nuclear reaction.

Pump is used to transmit the water and steam lines are used to transmit the steam from the reactor towards the turbines, when the steam reached at the turbine section that time turbines gets rotated. This turbines are connected with the generator which converts the physical rotation of the turbine into the electricity, this generated electricity transmitted towards the transformers which are present in the nearest power stations and further transmitted to commercial or industrial power lines. Water vapor released from the large chimney which is constructed from the concrete material.
