Importance of this launch for the EV industry and Xiaomi:

This event is most important for Xiaomi and EV industry also, for Xiaomi, this event is most important because there are going to launch their first EV in the market and this is the most important point to decide the future of Xiaomi in the automobile sector. The Xiaomi is going to complete with the leading automotive companies like Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Tata, etc. and their vision is to achieve the position in top 5 automobile company in the future. In this launch event Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi EV's 5 core technologies which are used to build this electric car to revolutionaries the EV sector which includes E-motor, Battery, Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving, Xiaomi Hyper Die-Casting, Smart Cabin. Xiaomi aims to complete the Human × Car × Home Smart Ecosystem to redefine the technology of automotive industry. Integration of Automotive industry and consumer electronics and intelligent ecosystems is trending in the Smart electrical vehicle industry. Let's look at the core technologies which are introduced by the Xiaomi in Brand new EV model SU7.

E-Motor:

Xiaomi introduced it's independently developed and manufactured E-Motors, which are HyperEngine V6/V6s and HyperEngine V8s. This E-Motors are designed with innovative technologies such as Bidirectional Full Oil Cooling Technology, staggered silicon steel lamination design, etc. HyperEngine V8s has maximum speed of 27,200 rpm and this sets the global record for E-Motors. Thr three E-Motors which are introduced by Xiaomi are follows:
Xiaomi HyperEngine V6/V6s: It is in mass production, on board (21000rpm).
Xiaomi HyperEngine V8s: In mass production, on the road by 2025 (27200rpm).
Xiaomi HyperEngine Pre-research Carbon-Sleeved Rotor (35000rpm).

Battery:

Xiaomi has also introduced self-developed CTB Integrated Battery Technology through innovative Inverted Cell Technology, it has multifunctional elastic interlayer with minimalistic wiring system. Xiaomi employs industry leading safety design standards to ensure stable performance during long range travel. It has dual side water cooling solution implementation achieving a cooling area four times the industry average and it is capable of resisting temperature upto 1000°C. It has 1050+ safety verifications and 96 times the international standard durability testing duration.

Xiaomi Hyper Die-Casting:

Xiaomi has introduced it's self developed Hyper Die-Casting T9100 cluster and proprietary Die-Casting alloy material, and Xiaomi Titans Metal decreasing overall car weight by 17%.

Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving:

As a global technology leader, Xiaomi has showcased it's intelligent software technology. In terms of Autonomous Driving, Xiaomi has pioneered three key technologies which are Adaptive BEV technology, Road mapping Foundational Model, and Super-Res Occupancy Network Technology. This model revolutionizes traditional method of collecting data of road conditions. This model recognizes real time road conditions and navigate smoothly in complex intersections without relying on high definition maps. It includes high definition cameras, two NVIDIA Orin high-performance chips with a combined computing power of 508TOPS.

Smart Cabin:

Xiaomi EV comes with Smart Cabin which is "human-centric" interaction architecture, 16.1 inch central console, 7.1 inch rotating dashboard. It is equipped with 5 different screens with Snapdragon 8295 in-car chip with AI computing power. Xiaomi EV car SU7 supports over 1000 Xiaomi smart home devices for effortless integration with the vehicle.
